HAELO was built on the floor — under fluorescent lights at 3 a.m., with cold coffee, rumbling stomachs, and charts that never seem to end. We’re a small team of nurses and clinicians who have lived the 12-hour nights, the back-to-back shifts, the missed meals, and the quiet rides home when your body is wired but your brain is done.
We noticed something: we were caring for everyone but ourselves. The crash after three cups of coffee. The fog that creeps in during rounds. The restless “sleep” after night shift that isn’t really sleep. We heard the same stories in the break room and in the hallway—I’m exhausted, I can’t turn my brain off, I need something simple that actually helps.
So we started HAELO with one goal: lighten the shift — not by calling anyone a hero, but by giving caregivers practical support for real life on the floor.
